Meet Greg

“I ’m Greg Leding, and I’m running to represent District 92 as a true Democrat in the Arkansas House of Representatives. I’m running because I love Fayetteville, and because I believe Arkansas needs, now more than ever, the kind of progressive leadership for which Fayetteville is proudly known.”

A lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas, Greg graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2001. He currently works for Fayetteville Public Schools.

Greg is active with three Fayetteville Forward Accountability Council (FFEAC) groups: Public Education, Inclusion, and Green Economy. He volunteers for Democrats Work NWA, the local chapter of Democrats Work, a national organization that encourages true Democrats to put their beliefs into action.

In 2006, Greg co-founded the Fayetteville chapter of Drinking Liberally and now serves

on the national Living Liberally board. In the fall of 2006, he volunteered for the Democratic Party of Arkansas’ Victory 2006 campaign.

Hello, My Name Is Greg Leding

He remained politically active in both local and national politics throughout 2008. In March of 2009 he spoke privately with family, friends, and colleagues about running for District 92. He made the decision to run later that month, and his campaign held an official announcement event at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 13th, 2009. (Visit our Flickr feed for photos.)

In the months since announcing, Greg has regularly attended meetings of the Senior Democrats, Washington County Democratic Women, the Washington County Democratic Central Committee, and the University of Arkansas Young Democats. He’s traveled to Little Rock to visit with current members of the General Assembly and to attend meetings of the Task Force on Austism and the Task Force to Reduce Poverty and Promote Economic Opportunity.

“I’m Greg Leding, and I ask for your vote on Tuesday, May 18th.”

Together we can make Arkansas stronger.

The Fayetteville Free Weekly profiled Greg in a June 2009 issue. You can read the article here.
